Speed Display Unit (SDU)
- The SDU is the engineer’s system interface.
- The LCD display shows braking curve profiles, and specifies the speed limit, train speed, and PTC system status.
- The audible alarm indicates various operating condition changes.
- The Acknowledge button is a multi-purpose control switch.
- The ADU specifies the current cab signal aspect.
- The territory switch is used by the engineer to indicate to the system if the train is in CSS-equipped territory, otherwise it is limited to the “restricted” aspect.
