Speed Display Unit (SDU)

  1. The SDU is the engineer’s system interface.
  2. The LCD display shows braking curve profiles, and specifies the speed limit, train speed, and PTC system status.
  3. The audible alarm indicates various operating condition changes.
  4. The Acknowledge button is a multi-purpose control switch.
  5. The ADU specifies the current cab signal aspect.
  6. The territory switch is used by the engineer to indicate to the system if the train is in CSS-equipped territory, otherwise it is limited to the “restricted” aspect.
